The room was super clean and new / bed size was big enough. I liked that the front entrance and doors are only accessible to guests—felt very quiet, private and safe. The location is great too, just a short walk from the station, so getting around, especially to Hongdae, was super easy.

Seoul is a great big city with something for everyone, there is history, architecture, shopping and entertainment. I am vegetarian and that was a challenge to find restaurants however the people were absolutely amazing, lovely and helpful. I felt very safe ( I don't go out pass 9 pm as I am a solo traveller and I don't drink) and there are many options to visit wether you are single, a couple or travelling with kids. I REALLY ENJOYED ALL SEOUL HAD TO OFFER.

It was an excellent city for me to visit.
It was an excellent city for me to visit. I enjoyed the ancient palaces next to the more modern skyscrapers. The food was good and the public transport was easy to use. The prices were more affordable and I would go back.

It was my first visit to Seoul and I sometimes felt that I needed a friend to take photos. The Korean BBQ is for two people min. One restaurant owner made an exception for me so he got the waiter to assist with cooking the meat. Kimchi, water or coffee are the must haves on the table in any restaurants, I had one bottle of Soju for the occasion and the photo. Be prepared to walk long distances. One can easily get carried away by just looking at all the beautiful buildings or sit on a street bench and watch the night skyline over the river. Some streets have swing benches so you can swing whilst resting or sipping on ice americano. Getting lost in Seoul can become an unexpected adventure. You’ll find yourself at a place that you planned to visit only the next day. Buying tickets online can become a loss or an advantage. The weather is unpredictable so your planned outdoor trip can sometimes become a futile one. Most discounted tickets purchased online are advertised as non refundable. Watch out for online ticket sales. You will get a confirmation and message saying for advice and directions contact the owner, after calling you will speak to someone who doesn’t speak English or an answering system that’s not programmed for you to select a language of your choice.
Seoul is big, bold and beautiful. Buildings are tall and streets are wide.
Many places I would have liked to visit but one month was not enough.
My advice to others, don’t go to a place like Seoul as a solo traveler.
You will have more fun when you’re with someone, it will be less cost effective and you will see and do much more. My experience was very good and I have beautiful memories of the places I have visited in South Korea. I also went to Busan and took a flight from there to Jeju island. A must to visit when in South Korea.

I feel safe travelling alone in Seoul. I love to walk.
I feel safe travelling alone in Seoul. I love to walk.
Once you understand the train system, you will not get lost,
the train information is in Korean and English.
Uber, and Kakao car services is expensive, Within Seoul you could visit any city location by yourself, using buses or trains to reduce costs. If you must take a taxi just pick up from the taxi stand
I always have a list of places that I want to visit, when I travel,
I checked the train number to get there from the hotel, before I arrived,
Sometimes you will not be able to get clear information via google.
check which train to use.
use a photo translator to read the menu.
use Kakao Map to move. I love Korean food, BBQ beef, pork, Ramen soup, Kimbap roll, Bulgogi Deopbap, Samgyetang

Seoul is a very interesting place to visit, incorporating many ancient and modern attractions.
It is a very safe place and everyone is very respectful of each other…except on the Metro at peak times then it is every person for themselves, getting on and off the trains.

Seoul is a bustling boisterous city.
Seoul is a bustling boisterous city. The markets and the street food are a highlight. The culture is rich and presented well. We met many friendly people and enjoyed our stay immensely. The transport system is easy to navigate. We really enjoyed the walking foodie tour that took us from Changgyeoggung palace to Insa-dong, we enjoyed Korean pancakes, raw octopus, bibimbap, dumplings and hotteok. There is so much to explore in Seoul!

The hotel has massive potential and could easily be rated a 9-10. It's in a fantastic area, conveniently located near the metro and an airport bus stop close by. The room and views were spectacular, and the breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options, including local delicacies, eggs, fruits, and desserts. As an FYI, it's a military hotel, which wasn't mentioned, but could be a plus for those interested in its connection to the South Korean and US army.
Highly recommended! The best hotel location in Myeondong. Location is in the very heart of the City!
Staff are very friendly and helpful... Area and rooms are clean. A quiet place to stay in a busy street.
Near the bus stop station!
Near the train station!
Near the street food area where it is located!
Near the cosmetic and luxury brand stores!
Near the restaurants!
Everything you need is near the area!
Great location - made it easy to explore everywhere by foot and it was easy to get to/from the airport by Publix transport.
Breakfast included delicious Korean food (plus western food but didn’t really try), making it a great start to each day.
The room was comfortable and quiet, bed and bathroom facilities were top notch.
Cute boutique hotel and would love to stay here again if I come back to Seoul!
Went to korea for our honeymoon and the Intercontinental made it our special time feel even more special. The service in this hotel is top notch and we felt very well taken care off. I will definitely stay again the next time on back to korea, it's the best 5 star hotel me and my husband have stayed at so far in terms of service and care.
As a solo female traveller , this is the best hostel to stay when you are in Korea . It is at the shopping district of Myeongdong and only 5 mins walk to Myeongdong train station . And it is two stop away from Seoul station ( the station that u use to take Airport , ITX , KTX or Mgunghwa line) . Fantastic!
